While America celebrates Independence Day, Bradford Playhouse will be doing its own thing with a speakeasy night in the cellar bar.
The Playhouse’s cabaret evening, Flock, features performances from acts such as Helen Kane as Marilyn Monroe and comic Andrew Bailey.
Bradford’s ‘faux queen’ compere, Mysti Valentine, will perform a selection of songs from a show she’s taking to London’s legendary drag venue, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern this summer, and DJ Aid will be spinning the tunes.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed up as gangsters and dames. And for anyone who doesn’t have a costume, there will be a dressing up corner where you can borrow a hat or a feather boa and dress the part…
Flock is at Bradford Playhouse on Saturday. Doors open 8pm, live acts are on from 9pm, and the DJ is on until 2am. For tickets ring (01274) 820666.
