TALENTED youngsters from Bradford theatre school Stage 84 have made it to the second round of ITV’s The Voice UK.

Mia Dearnley, 16, Georgia Cox, 17, and Sophie Chellam, 17, attended open auditions for the TV talent show at Stage 84’s Idle studios several weeks ago, along with other young people, and were invited to further auditions in Manchester.

After the first round they all were chosen to progress through to round two of the process later that day and will find out in late July or early August if they have got any further.

“This is a big achievement, given the number of people who audition for this popular TV programme,” says Stage 84 managing director Craig Winward. “We are really proud of these girls, they have attended singing lessons for many years at Stage 84 and we wish them every success with this project.

“All three girls have lead roles in our forthcoming production, Broadway Showcase, which is to be performed at Bingley Arts Centre on July 21 and 22, and they also have lead roles in our production of Sister Act taking place at Yeadon Town Hall on October 5, 6 and 7.

Tickets for both shows are available at stage84.com
