WHEN Di, Viv and Rose meet at university in 1983, life is fun and living is intense. But how do their lives shape out once they hit the real world?

Di and Viv and Rose is a funny, moving play charting the friendship of three women for three decades, written by actress and playwright Amelia Bulmore.

The play runs at Ilkley Playhouse from February 7-11, kicking off a lively season that continues with Stagefright Comedy night, on February 18, featuring Gavin Webster, whose TV credits include Never Mind the Buzzcocks and The 11 O’Clock Show. Expect quick-fire pastiche and sardonic songs from the comic, who also had a role in Ken Loach’s Palme d’Or-winning film I, Daniel Blake. Also providing the laughs are Keiran Lawless, Stu Woodings, Masie Adam and MC Anthony J. Brown.

On February 24 the Playhouse welcomes Charlie Chuck, aka Uncle Peter from Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer’s 90s TV shows. Charlie’s career began as a session drummer for the Small Faces. He worked with various bands through the 1970s and 80s before becoming a comedian. He is touring this year with Ilkley comic Robson Stroud. Their Playhouse gig is in aid of Chevin Socialites, an Otley-based charity which support widows at home and in care.

On February 25 there’s chance to enjoy an evening of live singing from Peggy-Sue and The Cupcakes, a West Yorkshire-based close harmony group specialising in hits from the 40s and 50s, with a few well-loved musical favourites and modern classics thrown in.

Admission includes a fish supper from Grandad Nicol’s and a cupcake from Jeanette’s Cakery in Saltaire.
