STUDENTS from a Bradford dance school are moving on, thanks to scholarships and auditions.
Footsteps Theatre School has recently moved premises to Idle and this weekend sees its 22nd production at St George's Hall.
The evening of song and dance features excepts from hit musical Matilda, Teen Beach Movie and a section devoted to Beyonce songs.
The day after the show ends, students Mollie Cranmer and Victoria Platt, both 18, will be heading off to the Liverpool Theatre School, where they have been offered scholarships. The teens have been students at Footsteps since they were three-years-old.
And four girls, all aged 10, who auditioned for the junior associates programme at Northern Ballet have each been offered places. Three of the girls gained a place on the associate programme and start next week, and the remaining girl, Alana Westman, gained a place on the intensive professional CAT (Centre for Advanced Training) programme, the only one in England specialising in classical ballet, for which only 11 children were chosen.
The Footsteps show runs at St George's Hall today and tomorrow at 7.15pm with a 2.15pm Saturday matinee.
