A slot at Bingley Music Live (pictured) beckons for the winner of the BD1 LiVE talent contest organised by Bradford Theatres.
More than 60 bands entered from around the region, 18 acts reached the heats and six have made it through to the final.
Now the finalists will do battle for two prestigious slots on the line-up of Bingley Music Live on September 3 and 4.
The six bands are Kath And The Mighty Menace, described as a dynamic rock/pop band from Guiseley; Kingheadlock, a “funky and intelligent” band from Haworth: Queensbury band Ti Amo; Remember The Hurricanes, an electro-dance indie band; punk/pop act State Of Error; and three-piece Tiny Giants.
The two winning bands will be the opening acts at this year’s Bingley Music Live festival in September.
Event manager Andrew Wood said: “I’ve been blown away by the high standard of the bands in the three heats. The final is going to be a fabulous night, and I hope people will come along to give the bands the support they deserve.”
* The BD1LiVE final is at St George’s Hall on Friday, July 8. For tickets, ring (01274) 432000.
