Kids In Glass Houses – Dirt (Roadrunner) ****
They may like to think of themselves as being quite a heavy outfit, having recently supported Welsh rocksters Lostprophets, but to me Kids In Glass Houses have more in common with Take That and
Westlife. They disguise themselves well with crunching guitar effects and huge-sounding drums, but take that away and you’re left with a band with some great pop tunes hidden away. Is it just a
coincidence that Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays appears on one of the tracks? I think not.

We Have Band – WHB (Naive) **
We Have Band have been gigging around the festival and dance scene for three years without a record contract up until now. Now they have signed to Naive and are releasing their debut album to
coincide with a European tour. The London trio have drawn their influences from the synth pop/rock scene of the Eighties, and on first listening you could have been forgiven for thinking this was
some kind of re-issue from that period. They sound like a contemporary version of Joy Division or even at times Human League with just a touch of Talking Heads. If you thought the Eighties sounded
good then this might be just what you are looking for.

Rolando Villazon – Tenor (Deutsche Grammaphon) *****
Mexican tenor Rolando Villazon is set to be a household name. Appearing as both mentor and panellist on ITV’s Pop Star To Opera Star, Villazon soon demonstrated his virtuosity. On this CD he
showcases some of the leading artists including The Three Tenors. Thrill to such classics as O Sole Mio, Ombra Mai Fu, Maria, The Impossible Dream, L’alba Separa and many more. Already memorable
for his individual hairstyle, Rolando Villazon is set to amaze us all with his beautiful voice.
