The Chameleons – What Does Anything Mean? Basically (Blue Apple Music) ****
Originally released 25 years ago, when Indie music was just coming to the fore, this is the second studio album by The Chameleons, now re-released with a collector’s edition containing bonus album
demos disc. The Chameleons nearly hit the big time way back then, but unfortunately circumstances were stacked against them, despite the quality of the music they were producing. With their
heartfelt lyrics, these tracks still sound fresh and exciting today. If you are not familiar with their sound, it may take a few listens before you are confidently able to say that they are not
just a Cure sound-alike band. Let’s hope this issue gains them some more deserved credit.

DJ Tiesto – Kaleidoscope (Musical Freedom) ****
The fourth studio album by DJ Tiesto, featuring such artists as Nelly Furtado, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party fame, and the one-and-only Calvin Harris. Kaleidoscope has pretty high expectations, and
even manages to surpass them. Beginning with the almost ethereal title track, we are presented with the more upbeat Escape Me as well as the infinitely-catchy It’s Not The Things You Say. Not
surprisingly, the songs that stand out the most are the collaborations with Harris and Furtado, completing a rather enjoyable album by the Dutch international sensation.
