Acoustic pair join forces for show

Acclaimed singer/songwriters Patsy Matheson and Jason Feddy are appearing at Korks Wine Bar in Otley on Friday.

Jason exploded into the North’s acoustic scene in the early 1990s, moving rapidly on from modest venues to large stages with artists such as Christy Moore, The Cranberries, Tears For Fears and Nick Harper. Patsy, founder member and one quarter of award-winning female acoustic group Waking The Witch, also made her name in the 1990s, supporting such names as Al Stewart, The Saw Doctors and Gordon Giltrap.

In 2003, she formed Yorkshire band Waking The Witch, releasing three albums and a live DVD. Friends for many years, Patsy and Jason have been long-time fans of each other’s work. As well as performing together, Patsy recorded Jason’s song Angels for her 1996 album With My Boots On.
