Percussion ensemble Rhythm Yatra is coming to Bradford this week.
The group comprises five internationally-renowned artists who perform a flamboyant style of Indian classical music, with scintillating drum beats displaying intricate and musical rhythmic patterns.
The musicians are: Bangalore Prakash on mridangam; tabla artist Kousic Sen; morsing or Jewish harp player Sithambaranathan, up-coming pakhawaj player Prithviraj Kumar and multi-talented Benhard Taalis on western drums and percussion. The performance of powerful percussion instruments from East and West, takes place at Kala Sangam’s city centre base at St Peter’s House on Friday from 7pm.
