After a surfeit of vampire movies, yet another remake of The Thirty-Nine Steps and all the other joys associated with an English Yuletide and New Year, what you need is a touch of Las Vegas.

You don’t even have to fly to Nevada either. Frank, Sammy and Dean, backed up by a full supporting cast and a 15-piece orchestra, will be bringing a little timeless stardust, showbiz magic and happiness to St George’s Hall on January 2.

At their best, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior, were the best because they made entertainment look so easy.

So put away the six-pack and take your other half out to see the Rat Pack brought back to life again.
