Bradford Festival Choral Society is bringing its traditional performance of Handel’s Messiah back to the city this weekend, following a two-year break.
The historic choir will sing Handel’s oratorio as part of the Bradford International Concert Season.
The concert will feature acclaimed soloists and the Skipton Building Society Camerata, soprano Natasha Jouhl and Yorkshire-based Robert Ogden and Nicholas Watts joining baritone Daniel Grice.
The choir, founded in 1856, is enjoying a revival under the direction of conductor Thomas Leech, and has won praise for its vibrant sound, engaging performances and commitment to new music and the community.
- Handel’s Messiah will be performed at St George’s Hall on Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are available on (01274) 432000.
