Hallelujah, the Halle Orchestra returns to St George’s Hall on Friday, May 13, with a concert programme that includes a piece by Bradford’s own Frederick Delius.
Idylle de Printemps is a lyrical tone poem inspired by springtime in Norway. The piece also features on the Halle’s latest CD.
Their arrival, under the baton of Sir Mark Elder, marks the finale of Bradford’s international orchestral concert season.
It opens with a performance of Scenes Historiques by the Finnish composer Sibelius.
The centrepiece of the evening is Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, which showcases the voice of Polish soprano Aga Mikolaj.
Tickets for the concert are available from the box office on (01274) 432000.
