Leeds Baroque are performing at Salts Mill on Sunday.
Directed by Peter Holman, Professor of Historical Musicology at the University of Leeds and director of the Parley of Instruments and Opera Restor’d, the period instrument group comprises professional and non-professional players with students from the region’s music colleges.
The performance of Henry Purcell’s greatest late theatre work, The Indian Queen, takes place on the third floor of the mill, where David Hockney’s opera sets are on display.
