Internationally-acclaimed organist Jennifer Bate OBE will be playing at Bradford Cathedral next Wednesday.

A specialist in the works of 20th century French composer Olivier Messiaen, her programme for the lunchtime recital includes pieces by Bach, Franck, Guilmant, Duruflé, Berkley, and her own composition Toccata on a theme of Martin Shaw.

Described by one national newspaper as “esteemed wizard of the organ”, Jennifer Bate is in the top rank of international organists and has long been a favourite at all the world’s great festivals.

Recent overseas engagements have included recitals in Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Monaco and Spain.

UK engagements have included a solo BBC Promenade Concert and Messiaen’s Livre du Saint Sacrement in the South Bank Messiaen Festival in Westminster Cathedral.

Wednesday’s concert begins at 1.05pm and last for about an hour.
