BRADFORD's newest nightclub will be welcoming one of the country’s biggest dance acts later this month.

Circle, which has only been open since the middle of September in Bradford’s West End, will be welcoming chart topper Example for an appearance on October 17.

Example, real name Elliot Gleave, will be playing at Circle with his resident tour DJ, DJ Wire, and the singer/songwriter, whose biggest hits include “Kickstarts” and “Changed the Way You Kissed Me”, promises to put on a great show for the Bradford crowd.

Aaron Mellor, managing director at Circle, said: “When we opened just a couple of weeks ago we promised Bradford some big names and it couldn’t get much bigger than this.

“We’re delighted to be bringing Bradford such great international talent right on our doorstep – this is a huge part of what Circle is all about.”

Example has recently returned from European clubbing hotspots Ibiza and Majorca, where he has had residency nights over the summer.

He has performed in the Bradford district before, when he headlined the Bingley Live Festival in 2014, where he also played in 2010.

Example will follow a DJ set from chart topping house music duo Sigma, who will be performing on October 10, and Mr Mellor described these bookings as a major coup for the new venue.

Circle night club Bradford, which opened on September 19, is part of the new nightlife complex alongside the Alhambra Theatre.

The club is described as a cutting edge, Ibiza-style club, with many new features, including pyrotechnic displays, a giant LED light wall and confetti cannons.

Example is known as one of the UK’s biggest male artists, and first hit the big time with his second album, ‘Won’t Go Quietly’, which peaked at number four in the UK album charts and saw two top ten singles, ‘Won’t Go Quietly’ and ‘Kickstarts’.

This was followed by a number one platinum album ‘Playing in the Shadows’, and gold selling album, ‘The Evolution of Man’.

He has achieved two top five albums and six top ten singles including two number ones. ‘Live Life Living’ his fifth studio album peaked at No1 in the UK Dance charts last year.

Some of his best known songs include number ones; “Changed the Way You Kissed Me” and “Stay Awake”, as well as other songs “All the Wrong Places”, “One More Day (Stay with Me)” and the Calvin Harris track “We’ll Be Coming Back”, which he featured on.

But is in his live performances where Example is said to be in his element, described as a ‘true master’, being able to transform dance floors and muddy fields into colossal parties.

Before Example visits Circle, electronic duo Sigma, who met while studying at nearby Leeds University, will play a DJ set at the club on October 10.

The pair had two number ones in 2014, with “Nobody to Love” and “Changing (featuring Paloma Faith)” and reached number four with their summer 2015 track “Glitterball”, which featured vocals from Ella Henderson.

Tickets are on sale at ticketarena.co.uk/events/EXAMPLE-DJ-WIRE/. The show is for over 18s only.
