THERE’S a new band on the Keighley scene – but it’s made up of old faces.
The Oldertones feature lead singer and rhythm guitarist Tony Rall, bassist Roy Crabtree, lead guitarist and singer Ian Wilkinson and drummer Graham Dickson.
Tony and Roy played local pubs and clubs as 16-year-olds, Roy continuing into adulthood.
Roy played with Ian and Graham for many years in Thomas J And The Gangsters Of Soul.
A reunion last year led to regular gigs for the Oldertones.
Tony said: “Roy, Ian and Graham have years of experience.
“They dragged me out of an early retirement and together the sound is better than ever. There’s a powerful and unique, sound to The Oldertones.
“We’re out there most weekends bringing back the memories.”
The Oldertones play the Parkside Social Club, Haworth, today; Jug and Barrel, Stanningley, February 14; Rudding Park, Harrogate, April 4; and Central Division WMC, Bradford, April 5.
