The Dunwells Leeds Town Hall

Expectation was high when The Dunwells prepared for their biggest-ever show on home turf.

Playing at Leeds Town Hall fulfilled an ambition for the band, who recently returned from America.

With spectacular lighting, highlighting the town hall’s nooks and crannies, the show delighted fans, with Pudsey brothers Dave and Joe Dunwell and Yeadon cousins Jonny Lamb and Rob Clayton rocking it with anthemic numbers such as I Could Be A King, So Beautiful and Hand That Feeds.

Blending familiar favourites such as Oh Lord with tracks from their upcoming second album, including Sleepless Nights, Light Up The Skies and Communicate, they switched with ease between thunderous anthems and hauntingly beautiful songs such as I Want To Be.

Drummer Jonny showed off his vocal talents as the band showcased its three major vocal talents.

Final song The Best Is Yet To Come proved prophetic, with the encore including the band’s acclaimed cover of the Imogen Heap song Hide And Seek, and the stomping Follow The Road which had the audience dancing in the aisles. A night to remember.
