Come and see how the disused old Police Station was transformed into a police museum.

It is one of the best examples of a Grade II listed Victorian Building in a very prominent position opposite Keighley’s Town Hall Square and memorial gardens.

The experience covers modern day policing and cells in use until 2005. This shows how prisoners and suspects were processed, treated and incarcerated.

WHAT'S ON THIS SUMMER

One of the main features is the original Horse Drawn Black Maria, that has been rebuilt to be road worthy as well as exhibit standard. The ironwork on the coach dates back to 1892 – the restoration was undertaken by a specialist company in coach building.

Exhibition of a Victorian street scene depicting a street as it may have looked in 1850. Painted by local artists that wanted to have an input into the Centre.

Victorian police cells have been taken back to how they would have been in 1850 – 1890, where many exhibits of this period covering written information, weaponry, custodial locks, keys and other memorabilia can be seen.
