This year marks the centenary of Bradford City’s FA Cup-winning season. An exhibition at the Industrial Museum, Eccleshill, illustrates how the team, officials, supporters and the wider community played their part in arguably the most famous and popular triumph in Bradford’s history – a victory made even more remarkable by the club becoming the very first recipient of the-then new trophy, designed and produced by Fattorini’s of Bradford.

You can spend virtually the whole day at Victoria Hall, Saltaire, next Saturday. From 9am to 4pm, it’s the antiques and collectables fair in the Evans Room. And in the main hall, between 2 and 4pm, local artists will be submitting pieces for auction to raise money for Help For Heroes. The wide selection of unique pieces, including portraits, abstract art and Japanese-inspired works, will start from as little as £1. Whether you are looking for your first piece of art, or the next piece to add to your collection, go along and support our servicemen and women.

Spend an evening at the City Museum in Leeds in the company of Yorkshire artist Ashley Jackson next Thursday, where you can listen to his tales of arriving in Yorkshire as a nine-year-old boy, follow his life and art through anecdotes and humour. Tickets are available from the Lord Mayor’s Office, Leeds, or in person from Ashley Jackson Galleries, Holmfirth. The event will start at 5.30pm.
