Bradford Mela
* It’s Bradford Mela next weekend at Peel Park – and that means lots to see and do, from educational play activities for children, to crafts, sports, food stalls, music and dance. Admission is free and the event runs from noon to 8pm each day.
* American-style wrestling and battling cowboys are set to draw the crowds to next Saturday’s Skipton Gala. A motorcycle stunt show, a demonstration of martial arts and a hotly-contested tug o’ war will also entertain the crowds at Aireville Park, when there’ll be music to suit all tastes including performances by the Accrington Pipe Band and Custers Last Band. The gala kicks off at 1pm with the procession of around 30 floats from Westmoreland Street.
