Lady Gaga confessed she was moved to tears by a tribute held in her honour by her fans in Indonesia.

The singer was forced to cancel her scheduled concert of her Born This Way Ball world tour in the Muslim country's capital of Jakarta last month following protests and fears for the crowd's safety.

Gaga tweeted in response to a video uploaded to YouTube of a flashmob held in a Jakarta shopping centre by the 'Indonesian Little Monsters' showing a large group of fans dressed up as the Born This Way singer and dancing along to some of her hits.

The video ended with the message: "Tons of rejection and hatred everywhere. but still... we will always got your back. We respect your decision due to BTW Ball cancellation but it DOESN'T change how much we love you. WE LOVE YOU MOTHER MONSTER. Till the end. [sic]"

Gaga tweeted: "This made me cry so hard. I love you so much. You are the best fans in the world."
