Jennifer Hudson has said she "hasn't stopped crying" since learning of Whitney Houston's death.
The Oscar-winning singer had less than 24 hours to prepare an emotional rendition of I Will Always Love You for the Grammys, after the star was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel.
Jennifer told Us magazine in a statement: "It was the greatest honour of my life to be able to be the one to pay tribute to Whitney's memory.
"It was from my heart. I haven't stopped crying since she passed. Her family is in my prayers."
Meanwhile US singer and actress Brandy, who co-starred with Whitney in the TV remake of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella in 1997, said she was devastated by the loss of her friend and mentor.
"My heart is destroyed. I lost my idol and dear friend. My prayers go out to Whitney's family and her millions of fans around the world," Brandy told Us in a statement.
"Whitney - the greatest voice of all time - you are my angel and I will always and forever love you."
