Leeds nightclub Gatecrasher has been re-modelled, re-made and re-charged'.
The team behind the clubbing phenomenon - one of the most potent and recognisable names in world clubbing - has unveiled plans for changes at its Leeds nightclub. The city centre venue is being re-named, re-branded and refurbished with a £500,000 investment.
The Leeds venue launched in 2005 and over the past three years DJs and artists such as Roger Sanchez, Trevor Nelson, Bob Sinclar, Basement Jaxx, Tim Westwood, Steve Sutherland, Paul Oakenfold, Kiss Da Funk, Cuban Brothers, Pete Tong, Boy George, Roni Size and Hed Kandi, Pashion and Retro DJs have worked their magic at the venue.
From tomorrow, the venue will be re-named Gatecrasher Seven. The downstairs room will be fully overhauled and branded as BED, featuring stylish sunken booths and designer Italian furniture.
The weekly programme includes Disco Heaven, Retro Heaven, Speedqueen and Leeds Love Electro.
Gatecrasher MD and founder Simon Raine says: "With Gatecrasher Seven we aim to refresh the club very much in keeping with the Gatecrasher ethic and style of the ultimate clubbing experience; stunning environments, great service and a music policy in sync with the trends and fashions of the moment.
"We are now licensed until 10am to cater for the vibrant Leeds club-hopping culture. We have made the basement more of a club room and less lounge with separate entrances to suit smaller club nights."
