A FLEET of high performance cars made a brief pit stop in the Bradford area on Saturday as part of a tour around the country.

The 31 high-performance cars were taking part in the Cannonball Lions Road Trip 2017.

The rally was making its way from Dublin on a three-day journey around the UK and called for lunch at the Woolpack pub in Esholt.

The pub is well-known for formerly being used as a location for the long-running hit soap Emmerdale.

The event was organised by Cannonball Ireland, which describes itself as one of the world’s largest supercar roadtrips.

Crowds gathered to cast their eyes over the vehicles, which included models of Lamborghini, Bentley, Audi, Mercedes, and Porsche.

On its Twitter page, staff at the pub said it was “great” to welcome the drivers and commented on its “expensive car park” (pictured).
