EASTER egg hunts, bonnet competitions and Blackpool donkeys will help Bradford families celebrate Easter this holiday weekend.

Friday

The fun begins at East Riddlesden Hall, which will be hosting an Easter egg trail from today, Good Friday, until Easter Monday, where children can work their way around the grounds of the stately home looking for treats from 10.30am to 4pm each day.

Also today, at 11am, Keighley Churches Together performs a modern and dramatic re-telling of the Easter story in the Airedale Centre in Keighley.

Britain's Got Talent star Pudsey the dog and his owner Ashleigh perform the family Mission Impudseyble show at The Alhambra from today until Sunday. Visit www.bradford-theatres.co.uk for full details.

The neighbouring National Media Museum's Horrible Science Easter activities also start today and run from 10am to 4pm, until Sunday April 10. Entry is free a there is no need to book. Visitors are promised all-new abominable activities, which explore squeamish sounds and nasty noises.

Today is also the start of Easter events at Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. There will be an Easter egg hunt and people can travel the line on a steam train to spot Easter eggs. There will also be a number of other free activities taking place at Ingrow West, with face painting and a fun filled activity booklet.

Saturday

Tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm, there will be Easter fun and an egg hunt plus Blackpool donkeys, stalls and children's around the town square in Main Street, Bingley.

Families are also invited to find the bunnies at Shipley Glen Tramway, Prod Lane, Baildon, from tomorrow until Monday between noon and 4.30pm.

Howarth Road and City libraries will be holding Easter Saturday sessions where people can make Easter baskets, from 10.15am and 11am.

Keighley library will be also host an event tomorrow, in aid of the Martin House charity, which includes a book sale and biscuit decorating, from 9.15am to 5pm.

There will also be an Easter egg hunt at the South Square Centre in Thornton from 11am to 4pm and children can meet the Easter bunny at the miniature railway in Northcliffe Woods on Easter Saturday from 12.30pm to 3pm.

In Kirklees, families can enjoy Easter egg hunts at Oakwell Hall, Nutter Lane, Birstall, at 11am on Saturday and Sunday, and an Easter chick hunt at Red House Museum in Oxford Road, Gomersal, at the same time.

Sunday

Moving on to Easter Sunday, at 3pm, there will be the 30th Valley Parade memorial football tournament at the Marley Activities and Coaching Centre, in Aireworth Road, Keighley.

Monday

On Easter Monday there will be an Easter egg hunt in Harold Park, Low Moor, from 11am to 1pm, with a bonnet competition judged at noon.

There is also an Easter Monday Funday at The Craiglands, in Cowpasture Road, Ilkley, from noon to 4pm.

The event includes a buffet, Easter egg hunt, Easter bonnet parade, disco, face painting and much more. Prices start from £9 for children. Call 01943 886456.
