LOCAL chefs and restaurants are gearing up to give demonstrations at this year’s Bradford Food and Drink Festival.

They include Robert Ramsden, head of specialist food development at Deli Fresh, which supplies many of the north's top restaurants and is based at Bradford Council’s St James Wholesale Market.

Cona, a halal Italian restaurant in Little Germany, Bradford, which has supplied dishes to 10 Downing Street, will also give a presentation.

Already lined up for the festival are former Coronation Street star Sean Wilson, who went from the cobbles to cheese making, and top television chef Gennaro Contaldo.

There will also be street food traders, street performers and live music.

The event takes place on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, in the city’s Independent Quarter on Northgate and Rawson Road, between the Oastler Shopping Centre and North Parade.

It is being organised by Bradford Council’s markets team.
