FREE films will be screened in Bradford's City Park every Wednesday from next week, with fun family activities taking place after the movie ends.

The first movie on the outdoor city centre big screen, on Wednesday July 29, is Paddington at 11am, to be followed by a teddy bears' picnic.

The Film Fun Wednesdays have been organised by Bradford UNESCO City of Film, working with the city council.

David Wilson, director of Bradford UNESCO City of Film, said: "This is City of Film in action bringing to everyone free cinema classics that will enthral and entertain all generations.

"It’s the third year we’ve been running the sessions, which have always been hugely popular.

"Film Fun Wednesdays are a chance for everyone to access films they may not have seen and enjoy again classics that they have - but being together in City Park sharing the outdoor cinema experience makes it really special."

Film screenings will go ahead whatever the weather.

There is limited seating around the screen. People can bring their own foldable chairs.
