Members of Bradford Amateur Rowing Club battled it out with crews from across the north of England at the club’s annual sprint regatta on Saturday.
Almost 300 competitors took to Hirst Weir on the River Aire for the event.
Junior and senior competitors rowed downstream for 650 metres on the stretch of the River Aire, taking part in 93 races.
A group of 130 crews from York, Tees, Warrington, Sheffield and Doncaster also attended the day-long event. They competed in individual, double sculls and coxed fours races, made up of qualifiers and also finals.
Regatta secretary and BARC chairman Celia Hickson said: “The event went really well. Bradford did well, as they won six races within the morning session.
“It helps that the weather has been kind to us.”
