A POPULAR 10km charity run in Bradford has been postponed – because of roadworks.

The 2015 Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k was scheduled to take place on March 22.

However, because of fears that roadworks at the junction of Canal Road and Stanley Road will not be completed in time, the run has been re-arranged for September 27.

Katie Reah, fundraising events officer at Epilepsy Action, said: “We regret that the 210k has had to be postponed.

“The safety of runners is our main priority and we cannot guarantee the safety of the route during this time. We have decided to postpone the event until September 2015. The roadworks will have been completed and the same popular route will be open.

“Those who have already signed up to the race can still take part in September. If they are unable to take part they can request a refund or donate their entry fee to Epilepsy Action.

“To receive a refund, please email events@epilepsy.org.uk by December 19, 2014.”
