Documentary photographer Zed Nelson has spent ten years working in some of the most troubled areas of the world.
His project Gun Nation, exhibited worldwide, won five major photography prizes and was published as a book.
Love Me, his latest, focuses on the cultural and commercial forces driving a global obsession with youth and beauty. Over five years he visited 18 countries, photographing cosmetic surgeons, beauty queens, bodybuilders, teenagers, housewives and business people.
On April 16, from 2pm to 3pm, Zed will be at Bradford’s Impressions Gallery to talk about his exhibition, which opens tomorrow and runs until May 29. Admission is free. The gallery is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
