Emi Avora’s picture Dictionary Of Ornaments is like looking at a scene from Caspar The Friendly Ghost, painted by Edvard Münch.
The real and the imaginary, the theatrical and the cinematic, feature strongly in her exhibition next month at Thornton’s South Square Gallery.
Born in Corfu in 1979, Emi graduated from the Ruskin School of Art and the Royal Academy.
She currently lives and works in both London and Athens. Her work is in public and private collections across the world.
South Square Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, noon to 3pm.
