Ever watch the TV, a play or film and think, ‘I could do that’?

Well now you can. Following successful autumn workshops in Otley, Bradford-based actor, writer and director Irene Lofthouse will be running introductory scriptwriting workshops Scripts And Scraps in April and May at two galleries in the Bradford area.

Irene has been involved in new writing projects across the area for several years at The Priestley, now Bradford Playhouse, Otley Courthouse, and in Huddersfield, Batley and Leeds.

There are four creative workshops at South Square Centre, Thornton, when participants will devise a story by exploring the essentials of script development, while at Projecto Gallery, Silsden, there’s a taster day where Irene will use examples of new writing and classic texts to explore different genres.

The workshops, aimed at over-18s, are at South Square Centre on Sunday, April 11, 18, 25, May 2, 10am to 3pm; and Projeto Gallery, Kirkgate, Silsden, on Tuesday, April 13, 10am to 3pm. There is a maximum of six people on this date.
