SIR - Theresa May has often spoken about her concern for "the just about managing" but, so far, her words have not matched the actions of her government. And, this seems to be continuing, revealed by new analysis coming from the Resolution Foundation (RF) which indicates low paid families struggling to make ends meet are about to be hit by the biggest annual benefits cut for six years. This research reveals, that from the beginning of the new financial year, in April, 11 million families, including five million of the type the PM previously vowed to help, will be hit with new cuts. There will be an average loss of £190 this year alone, but for some it will be far worse. This further public spending squeeze amounts to the second largest annual cut to the benefits budget since the financial crash.

David Finch, chief analyst at the RF said, "...families across Britain...face a huge living standards crunch in the coming years which is a direct result of government policy." Thus, austerity continues but crucially and cruelly, it continues to be aimed to hit the most vulnerable, hardest of all.
