RETIRED Air Force personnel enjoyed a trip down memory lane when they caught up with old comrades at a special reunion.
More than 80 members of The Royal Air Force Changi Association, who served in Singapore between 1945 to 1971, renewed old friendships at a reunion in the Polish Club, Raans Road, Amersham, on Thursday, September 20.
Organisers were delighted with the turn-out with many ex-personnel meeting up with pals they had not seen in 42 years.
Stan Seal, 70, chairman of the Amersham RAFA branch served in Changi Headquarters between 1949 and 1951.
"It was an excellent do with many coming from all over the country," he said.
"I met up with a comrade who served in the same section as myself, who I hadn't seen since I left 47 years ago. The Changi Association has brought so many people together over the year with links extending as far as Australia and New Zealand."
Association archivist John Dicks was praised for a wonderful memorabilia display complemented by old photographs brought along by guests recalling their times in Singapore.
