To celebrate the warmer weather and the beauty of this time of year, this page features Mike’s top picks on a springtime theme.

He said: “There is certainly a lot of talent here in Bradford. With so much creativity and so many stunning shots, it’s been a real challenge to choose just a handful of the best springtime images.

“The shots in this month’s spring time gallery were a delightful mixture of landscapes big and small from around this beautiful region.

“I loved the way our members took us on a journey through springtime’s many faces. Nothing sums spring up like the lambs in a field, but it’s the lush greens of the grass against the warm soft light that draws my eye.

“I strongly suspect that Daniel Virr can talk to the animals as you could almost reach out and touch his feeding rabbit.

“And Rob Atkins must have the reaction of a house fly for that shot of a honey bee. The collection of all the images makes getting through the dark monochrome days of winter worth it.”

More than 900 photographs have been posted in the club’s Facebook group since it was launched on Monday, April 10.

Members’ work including atmospheric street shots, park scenes, wildlife images, new angles on Bradford’s beautiful buildings, portraits and sports action shots have all impressed fellow members and the T&A team.

The group is aimed at everyone from seasoned amateurs to budding new photographers, whether you have all the latest kit or just an eye for taking a fantastic picture on your smartphone.

Post your snaps of everything from community events large or small, new angles on familiar places or even breaking news if you find yourself in the middle of the action.
