Known as the 'Holiest Son of Wales', the patron saint David was the son of the noble Irish 'Lady Non' and the grand Prince Sandde. Believed to have been a subject of such holiness, he apparently performed miracles before he was even born - even the local priest felt unable to preach in church when Lady Non was present due to the sheer greatness of the child inside her whom it was believed would excel all Christian teachers.
