PUPILS from a Bradford school have shown their gratitude to the ROyal British Legion by inviting them to afternoon tea.
Reevy Hill Primary School in Buttershaw hosted the event, which saw local war veterans sit with pupils sat and had tea and cake. They shared their stories, and also brought their medals and ration books for pupils to look at and learn about.
The school has laid on an afternoon tea for the past two years as a way to bring generations together and learn from one another. Pupils read some poetry and shared their school work with the visitors. It was made possible by Jackie Barwick, who has links with The British Legion and Wendy Clarke, who coordinates Reevy Hill Primary School Council.
