A PRE-SCHOOL that was told it required improvement after its last Ofsted visit has now been declared “good.”

Oakworth Pre-school, based in the village’s methodist church on, was given a requires improvement rating by inspectors in July 2016, but following a visit almost exactly one year later, it has now been judged good in every category.

The pre-school has 44 children aged between two and four on its roll.

The new Ofsted report, published this week, says: “Since the last inspection staff and management have made very good improvements that benefit children’s care and learning.

“Staff are deeply caring and patient with children and forge positive relationships with them. As a result children make good progress.

“Children behave very well. They are motivated and eager to learn.”
