BRADFORD MP Imran Hussain has become embroiled in a furore over whether Labour pledged to wipe students' debts during the General Election.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said he did not make a commitment to write off existing debts before the election.
But a video posted on Mr Hussain's Facebook page on May 22 suggests otherwise.
In the promotional video, filmed at St Clare's primary school in Bradford, Mr Hussain, a shadow minister, says: "Just this morning, Jeremy Corbyn has announced that the tuition fees will be abolished straight away from September, if there's a Labour Government, and that we will bring back immediately EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance) and also that every existing student will have all their debts wiped off. That's fantastic news, isn't it guys?"
Mr Hussain has not yet responded to requests by the Telegraph & Argus for a comment.
