THE University of Bradford has won three awards a prestigious education ceremony.

A team from the university attended the Heist Awards, which celebrate marketing teams at educational facilities, yesterday evening.

At the event they were awarded a gold in the Community/Business Engagement category, for the University's work supporting Bradford Literature Festival, gold for best international initiative, for work with apprenticeships in China, and bronze for Best Use of Innovation in Education marketing for the groundbreaking Don't Go To Bradford campaign.

The ceremony was held in Manchester, and saw the university facing off against tough competition from colleges and universities around the UK.

Director of External Affairs Mark Garratt said: "Our marketing team has done a big re-structuring recently, so it was a great night for us. In the last 10 years we have only won one award, so getting three in one night is quite spectacular."
