BEAUTY students at Bradford College took part in a prestigious student competition.

Sixty students from 25 colleges descended on the college to take part in two days of regional heats of the WorldSkills UK competition.

Using the state-of-the-art hair and beauty salons in the David Hockney Building, the students battled it out in heats testing their skills in beauty therapy, media, fashion, make up and nail technology.

WorldSkills bring together students, apprentices and young people from across the country to compete.

Janice Noble, Programme Area Leader for the Services Industries, said: β€œIt has been a pleasure for Bradford College to host WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy regional heats.”

Competitors came from as far afield as West Nottinghamshire College, Carlisle College and Wigan and Leigh College.
