BRADFORD Bulls’ winger Omari Caro has visited a Bradford school to help promote reading.
He visited Fearnville Primary School in Tyresal and spoke about his career with the Bulls before helping with reading groups.
He came to work with the children in Year 3 to try and encourage reluctant readers especially boys who have struggled with literacy.
Some of the boys used to say that reading was was “only for girls” but their attitudes changed once they saw the athlete Omari Caro reading his favourite books.
The children showed their appreciation by making Omari cards and pictures.
He promised to come back to Fearnville to watch a tag rugby tournament at the end of term.
