AN open day at the University of Bradford will allow visitors to become a TV presenter, impress business dragons, take part in a virtual duel, examine a skeleton, and be a judge for a day.

Held at the university on Saturday from 9.30am to 2.30pm, the open day will showcase a range of courses from Dementia Studies through to Cyber Security. Visitors will also get the chance of winning the latest must-have gadget, a pair of Snapchat spectacles. Anyone who attends the Open Day, uses the specially designed snapchat filter and shares it with the University will be entered into the competition. The spectacles were only released in London at the beginning of June and have a built-in always on camera, meaning wearers can capture footage whilst on the move.

Information will be available on writing UCAS personal statements, dealing with student finance and the opportunities available to students outside of academic work. There will also be advice for parents to support their children’s transition to higher education and information for adults considering returning to education.

Associate Director (Recruitment Operations) at the University of Bradford, Claire Pryke, said: “Attending our open day is an ideal way to find out more about university life here. It will help you make an informed decision about where to start the next phase of your academic journey. It’s an important decision, and our open day is designed to make sure you get all those questions answered.
