A PRE SCHOOL based in a Baildon church has been praised by Ofsted inspectors.

Baildon Village Pre School was visited earlier this month, and inspectors have rated the facility as ‘good’ in every category.

The school, based in Baildon Methodist Church on Newton Way, has 52 children aged two to four on its rolls.

Inspectors said the pre school was a “highly stimulating learning environment” and that partnerships with parents were strong.

The report adds: “ Children are happy and display high levels of independence. Children build warm relationships with staff and develop a sense of belonging.

“Staff are very good role models and provide specific praise when children are kind and polite.

“Children’s behaviour is good.

“All children, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress in their learning. Children’s literacy skills are developing well.”
