A DAY care centre has bounced back from a critical Ofsted rating last year to be judged “good” in the latest inspection.

Little Champions Day Care, based at the Abundant Life Centre on Wapping Road, Was given an inadequate rating on October, with inspectors citing poor safeguarding procedures as one of the reasons for the poor judgement.

But following an inspection late last month, the school has now been judged good in every category.

Inspectors said new management had turned the day care centre around, adding: “The new manager and senior management team demonstrate a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children. They have worked effectively since the last inspection to ensure all previous actions have been addressed.

“The quality of teaching is good. Staff recognise the uniqueness of each child.”

The centre provides education for children ages two to four.
