TWO pupils from Titus Salt School in Baildon won three medals in a County wide fencing competition.
Thomas Baildon and Kieran Goodall, Year 8, members of the Fencing club, competed in the Yorkshire Youth League.
Tom first competed in the under-14 boys foil, finishing the first stage of competition seeded four before winning one knockout round, then losing to the eventual winner in his semi-final, gaining a Bronze.
Both boys took part in the under-14 sabre, Kieran beat Tom in their semi-final and confirmed Tom’s second Bronze. Kieran went on to lose the final, earning his Silver medal.
Fencing Coach Tim Noble said: “Both boys did extremely well and I’m very proud of them and what they have achieved today. They’ve only been fencing since September so both boys show lots of potential.”
