POTENTIAL students at the University of Bradford will be able to examine a skeleton, act as a judge and try their hand at TV presenting at an open day on Saturday.

Taking place at the university’s city campus, the open day will showcase a range of courses from the five faculties.

Information will be available on writing UCAS personal statements, dealing with student finance and the opportunities available to students outside of academic work.

There will also be advice for parents to support their children’s transition to higher education and information for adults considering returning to education.

In addition, there will be tours of the campus and its award-winning facilities, including student accommodation in The Green. There will also be a chance to get hands on with different activities run by the various departments.

The University’s Head of Admissions, Claire Pryke, said: “Attending our open day is an ideal way to find out more about university life here. It will help you make an informed decision about where to start the next phase of your academic journey. It’s an important decision, and our open day is designed to make sure you get all those questions answered.

“Our courses are designed with industry input from many of the employers who will be sifting through your CV.”

The open day runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
