Councillors have approved plans that will create a school building to house the city’s first free secondary school.
Permission has been granted to alter, demolish and extend storage and distribution units in Northside Road, Lidget Green, to create a permanent site for the Kings Science Academy, which opened last year.
The school has been running from a temporary site at the former Coral College building in Manningham since September.
Councillor Sajawal Hussain, deputy chairman of the panel, said: “This site is an eyesore and I am glad this will put it to better use.”
