Railway Children actors visit Worth Valley line

The cast of a production of The Railway Children have visited the Worth Valley line to familiarise themselves with the locations from the classic 1970 movie.

Actors from the National Railway Museum (NRM) and York Theatre Royal version of the Edith Nesbit tale took a trip on the five-mile line behind the Green Dragon, which featured in the film.

They stopped off at Oakworth Station, which also had a starring role.

The York production will take place at the NRM, from Thursday, July 23 to Saturday, September 5 .

Tickets are priced £15-£18 for adults and £10-£12 for children. A family ticket is available for £40-£50. To book call (01904) 623568.
