Burglar nabbed by his prints
A burglar who made off with almost £2,000 worth of property from a Bradford householder left his fingerprints at the scene, a court heard today.
Sean Dooley, 20, of East Avenue, Keighley, admitted being part of a team which broke into the home in Kite Mews, Allerton, on October 22 last year.
Prosecutor Paul Nicholson told Bradford Crown Court yesterday an untidy search was made after a window was forced.
The raiders' £1,970 haul was never recovered.
Dooley, who left his prints on DVDs at the house, told police he was paid £20 to be look-out.
He then admitted going into the property and helping to bag up stolen items.
Dooley was given credit for his guilty plea.
He had no previous convictions.
He was given a 12-month community sentence, with supervision and 100 hours' unpaid work.
Judge Roger Scott warned him any breach would lead to eight months' custody.
